Creating Something From Nothing

What's been a powerful instructive, liberating lesson, is the idea and possibility of creating Something out of Nothing.

Of shifting our being and mind, making things up and then...sending it out into the world.
TBOLITNFL. What is that? It's an acronym for -- The Best Offensive Linesman in the NFL
And yet...
It's nothing to do with American football. It's Tongan for Personal Inner Commitment. It was all made up. Conjured. Created. And became a global movement. Nothing. Something.
The Book of Being/The Ultimate Coach, was nothing but a thought in a gentleman's mind. It's now been created into something expansive that's now spawning multiple mini-movements and transformational communities within it. Nothing. Something.
Tracksuit Thursday was nothing but an idea. A thought. It's now a world wide movement where adidas tracksuits are the chosen attire for the day, at home or in the workplace. Nothing Something.
Nothing Something creations can be hatched, schemed, created and applied to anything.
And the practice of turning Nothing into Something isn't only reserved for the BIG game-changing stuff of our lives, careers or businesses.
The good news?
You do not need to be some creative genius or have a PhD in NothingSomething-ology. We don't need to be Picasso, Einstein or Da Vinci.
Because we can all practice creating these little mini shifts all day long in each and every single thing we're involved with doing, right in this very moment.
We can practice turning nothing (even the dreary and mundane) into something useful, practical, profitable.
A few examples:
Washing dishes? Turns into 4SM -- a Four Seasons Masterclass in cleaning polishing and drying.
Walking the dog? Turns into PBT -- creating committed Private Bonding Time with the furry royalty.
Putting out the rubbish bags? Turns into GFT -- Glorious Feeding Time for the ravenous wheelie bins.
How to get more clients or customers? Turns into TLL -- an opportunity to Transform the Lives and Livelihoods of those potential clients and customers you interact with.
Replying to messages and emails? Turns into SCICUV -- an un-precedented, laser focussed opportunity to Serve, Coach, Inspire and Create Untold Value for the recipient/reader.
Opportunities to turn Nothing into Something exists EVERYWHERE we look, turn, interact.
And that's a joyful secret remedy if we find our lives, relationships, communications, businesses and professions are lacking in spirit, fun, entertainment... life!
There's no specific deadline or time frame to begin creating something from nothing.
You can begin applying it today. Right in this very moment.

Don't make New Years Resolutions - take COMMITTED ACTIONS

Taking COMMITTED ACTIONS, produces a result.

There's something tangible, specific and concrete about it.

Making resolutions, has an emotional joy to it. Especially when it's made around... THIS TIME OF YEAR! The problem however, is making a resolution and then, leaving it to gather guilt in the mind.

A resolution, ACTED UPON will create a result.

THAT'S a marriage worth consummating.

Resolution AND action.

Perfect.

Anything else is an emotional disease.

If all I did was to THINK about creating this piece of writing, it'd never get written.

Napoleon Hill was WRONG; you can't simply THINK AND GROW RICH.

Committed actions, HELP. A lot.

What are you going to resolve to DO in 2014?

How are you going to BEHAVE in order to DO?

And when do you want to START? Today, or tomorrow morning?

No Easy Way Out, No Short Cut Around

So who would have thought it - Andy Murray becoming the 2013 MEN'S WIMBLEDON CHAMPION.

Andy Murray would've thought it, that's who.

And there was no easy way out for him, no short cuts around to get to the Wimbledon dream.

In case you weren't aware, Andy has three of the worlds all time best tennis players in his TOP 4 group. There's been no other four like them. And, for them to be playing all at the same time... INCREDIBLE!

Not only that; there's pressure put on Murray that's been dished out by many with the the absurd line of overcoming 77 years of hurt because of Britain not having a Wimbledon Champ since Fred Perry in 1936. (It's not 77 years of hurt at all; more accurately, it's 77 years of not being good enough - so where's the hurt in that!)

So what does a person do who has previously LOST his 4 grand slam finals? Would he recover from those defeats? Would he bounce back or curl up into the fetal position and pull the blanket over his head?

Because that's the situation Murray found himself in August 2012, at Flushing Meadows New York where the US OPEN was being staged.

Murray's fitness levels were always in question. He couldn't last the distance when fighting it out with the big guns. So, after sacking his former coach Brad Gilbert, Murray committed to whatever his new team of fitness trainers demanded of him.

He told them...

"Look, I've spent the last few years not pushing myself as hard as I should. If I don't do a session properly, I want you to tell me straight out. Tell me: "your attitude is wrong." Don't let me get away with anything"

Murray realised his fitness was an area he needed to work on. He was prepared to do anything. There was no 'torture' that Murray wouldn't consider.

He'd sit in yoga positions in 42 degree temperatures to get his body and mind conditioned.

He'd run sets of 100 metre, 200 metre and 400 metre sprints to build up his speed and stamina.

He'd get into the gym and be put through a separate muscle building and cardio induced workout.

Oh, and let's not forget to add that Murray hired Ivan Lendl as his coach in 2011- winner of 8 major grand slam tournaments and someone whom Murray respects more than any other coach Murray has had because of what Lendl has achieved in the game and what he could bring to Murray because of that experience.

THIS is transformation.

It's not merely analysing where the knots and hiccups were and to simply leave it at that. NO. Creating a plan and working the plan so the problem is never a problem again, THIS is where the miracle and magic is.

There was no short cutting what needed to be done.

There was no easy way out to success.

There was no isolated Law of Attraction visualisation without ever doing the necessary and essential work.

Instead, there was pure commitment and dedication to create into existence a reinvented Andy Murray.

And did it pay off?

Well, he WON the US OPEN in 2012.

And... Andy Murray IS the 2013 Wimbledon Men's Champion.

And in both finals, he outgunned and outlasted the IRON man of Tennis, Novak Djokovic! His transformation was complete.

So ask this question to yourself or to someone who needs to hear it:

"In what area of life have you not pushed hard enough for the gains you want, and... who or what will you have in place to not let you 'get away' with things?"

So Let It Be Written, So let It Be Done

My Friend Steve Hardison instructs and coaches me through the simplest and most innocent of sentences.

"So let it be written, so let it be done".

Now what does that mean? What is the instruction?

My paraphrasing of it is;

If you write it, then by doing so, you've activated it into reality, it's already created into existence. And then along with that, there are a number of committed actions to stitch the whole thing together. That you are the kind of person who will bring it to LIFE.

Another way to interpret the instruction:

Don't waste precious words and thoughts and energy and life on writing about or dreaming about something that you're not committed to bring into existence. The experience will exhaust you. Especially if it's a daily, repetitive habit.

You and I both know certain words have immense power.

Almost miraculous in their effect.

And it's true whether using them on and for, ourselves. And, when using them on and for, others.

So imagine a life where what we say and write, happens, arises, comes into existence? That's a pretty powerful thing to contemplate, isn't it?

And so what kind of human being would we have to be in order to have our written words, be incredible, instructional, acts of creation?

A person committed to oneself.

A person committed to creation.

A person committed to surgical thought deconstruction & reconstruction.

A person committed to systematic action.

Can anyone be that kind of committed person?

Look around and inside your life of people. You'll find living examples.

For you: are you that committed person you want to be?

Test it and prove it to yourself.

So let it be written, so let it be done

Wandering Into Oblivion (And The Light Switch CURE)

Meet Joe.

He’s in his late forties, early fifties. Has three children. Drives a not too flashy car. Lives in an okay house. Considered a good guy. Works in a 9 to 5 job, though having very little enthusiasm for it.

Has made multiple promises to his wife (and to himself) about changing the way things are. But is gripped with self-doubt. Isn’t internally driven or motivated to do anything of significance. Though, wants to.  He sits alone at night. Troubled. Dissatisfied. Frustrated. Trying to figure his life out. Night after night. Most nights, having little to no sleep at all.

However, for Joe (and men and women just like Joe) things are (and will be) pretty much the same as they were, give or take a little rainbow of success along the way. Endless opportunities for growth, profits and incredible personal development, will have come and gone. A deep commitment to none.  An avalanche of conflicting information scattered far and wide into his brain.  The result? Confusion and misery. No clue how to make sense of it all.

Sadly for Joe, he’ll be just another hopeful human. Just getting through his life. Until, he realises that he’s into his seventies and eighties. And nothing to show for his time on the planet except a shopping list of missed opportunities, unfinished projects, broken promises and a pile of… ‘what could have beens’.

What one thing could Joe have done that would’ve made a major difference in how his life turns out? GETTING HELP. Joe decided to walk the path to success, alone. He figured that he would have the required desire, know-how and fortitude to work things out for himself.

DIY success, rarely works for the majority. Only a few are totally independent. Totally self-reliant.  Totally internally dependable on themselves. They will make a dynamic success of things, no matter what. Joe hadn’t sufficiently trained himself to be completely self-reliant. Though, he has trained himself to be locked up in his own cocoon. Happy to not take the advice of successful others. To not get into a community of others who can help. He lives with a fragile ego. Unwilling to deal with another point of view. Unwilling to admit that he doesn’t know much. Unwilling to say that he was wrong. Unwilling to have someone jolt him into activity.

Joe is steadily wandering into oblivion. Though, he just can’t see it. Because, for Joe, there’s another day just around the corner. And then another. And then another. Somewhere, there’s a part of Joe that believes he’s immortal. That he’ll be on the planet forever. That he’ll have all the time in the world to do what he wants. To get what he wants. To be whom he wants. Though, all the while Joe believes this, he is living a life of quiet desperation. He worries. He frets. He questions his own sanity every single day. Sadly, unable to come up with the right answers.
The Switch

It could be that Joe can find the answer by going to the switch on his wall. Switched to the ON position, light enters. Switched off, darkness. Can the road to success begin with and be as simple as flipping the switch and letting the light in? Why not? Aren’t we all in a state of darkness about something, until we see the light?
And how difficult is it to go from darkness to light? It’s just a flipping of a switch.

And what’ll happen to people like Joe when he flips the switch and sees the light? Miracles! Happenings that’ll take shape which seemed unfathomable previously. The sparkle of his true personality will surge forth like electricity lighting up a whole city.

The Joes’ of the world can set fire to their lives – but only when they switch their internal switch to the ON position. A switch that’ll move them from oblivion and darkness, to clarity and light.

Reinventing YOU? The ONLY 'Coaching' Video You'll Ever Need...

Coaching is BIG business.

Sadly, most 'coaches' aren't worth bothering about.

Why?

Oh, because their lives are as messed up as anyones'. Why get help from someone who can't deal with their own stuff? You know, the eighty/twenty rule. Tis is big mystery then, why people DO get involved with mediocrity, when excellence, is only a click or a phone call away.

You may have read the earlier post about TBOLITNFL - a post about one person's desire for transformation, that has has now, lit up an entire following to do the same.

However, what many don't know is the driver, the human force behind TBOLITNFL.

His name is Steve Hardison. (www.TheUltimateCoach.net)

HE is no ordinary coach. He is no ordinary human being. He's a transformational catalyst of the highest order.

Steve rarely gives public speeches. He has no books or informational products. His work is done in private, one client at a time, face-to-face. I've heard legendary stories of how his coaching has helped many people reinvent and transform, at their very core. No surface level quick fixing allowed.

So, when I contacted Steve about the recent rare talk he gave in Salt Lake City about how the whole TBOLITNFL came to be, I was thrilled when he gave me a sneak peak into the video that was going to be shared to those interested.

Know this; there isn't to my knowledge, any video footage about Steve and the 'way' he works and coaches.

If you only watch ONE video about the power of transformation, and, his particular way of HOW TO DO IT, you MUST take in and immerse yourself in everything this 40 minute video below, has to offer you. It's worth more than any amount of money you'll pay to anyone for personal transformation coaching.

If you truly GET what's going on here, and you apply the simple and visible lessons Steve shared with the audience in HOW he transformed the very nature and thinking of one American footballer, then you can begin to experience something similar in your life.

And understand this; this ISN'T about American football. It's about the desire for transformation and commitment - and someone to demonstrate how it all snaps together.

Now if you watch this video and you can't see how it all connects for you personally, drop me a line and I'll walk you through it.

There's a Powerful Commitment to Get Out of The Burning House!

What happens when we decide to do something, to commit to being someone, to commit to a new way of showing up in the world - AND THEN - we falter, splutter, give up on our once cherished mission, what then, what's our opinion of ourselves?

More importantly (though this is a made up story concocted in our magnificent, destructive minds) and that is, how do we think others now see and view us?

For most, we look for the escape hatch, the avoidance route, the way out. We take comfort in anything that doesn't remind us of our avowed goal or mission.

So how can we keep ourselves committed to doing what it is we say we want?

Commitment is nothing more than creating and delivering on a set of actions that'll move us towards getting what we say we want.

And if the outcome
of the committed actions doesn't inspire us, why on earth would we want to commit to achieving something in the first place?

Now there's no greater demonstration of the power of commitment than the burning house and there being something in there we HAVE to get before the whole thing crumbles.

If your relative or pet was inside that burning house, you're not simply going to sit around and ponder and pontificate about the tragedy of the scenario - you're going to get into some sort of action to GET THEM OUT... no matter what.

That's COMMITMENT.

If you say you want a Mr Universe physique, you can dream it and create a plan of sorts. Maybe working out a few days a week.

Or, you can have dates, timelines, a definite picture of how you want to be and look like. You can have your nutrition charts and your muscle activity charts, measuring your daily performance. You can visualise the c
ompetition and you can see yourself competing with the best, you can see yourself being the best.

And, there's a daily activity plan to support it all.

That's a COMMITTED way.

And we can all be committed to something, anything we choose, to any level and degree we choose.

Did you know that there's a place in our minds where we automatically put the things we say we are powerfully committed to - and that place is there to serve us, the very moment we powerfully declare what it is we are up to?

And that's whatever we say we are committed to - having super personal relationships, writing a book, having a lucr
ative business, having a tidy house, a super marketing system, an accurate thinking process... whatever it is, if we want it and we make it a commitment, a TRUE, powerful internal commitment, we'll get it.

Deuce Lutui is an American football player. He turned up to pre-season training, bulky, overweight and mentally lackluster. He needed help. He got it in the form of Steve Hardison - a powerful coach and communicator of the human spirit.

A relationship was formed. A POWERFUL commitment was created. And then, the ACTIONS were created to make Deuce Luiti BE TBOLITNFL - The Best Offensive Lineman in The National Football League.

You only need to go over to http://www.tbolitnfl.com/ to see how it's all working out.

Miracles happen when you create a Powerful Internal Commitment to DO and BE.

What are you committing to?

Torrential LOVE

ELEVEN grown men, (one of our twelve didn't show up to make it a six-a-side game) itching to get on the artificial grass, eager for the 9pm whistle to be blown so the current batch of players on there could leave the pitch to make way for us. One of the four floodlights refused to light, the rain, pounding down so you could hardly make out where the football was going.

Yes, this was bordering on a torrential downpour. A downpour that had been on and off (mostly on) for the previous two days. And yet miraculously, the artifical grass seemed to be sponging up the never ending rain water like a possessed demon.

After an hour and a half of what turned out to be the most intense games we've played, all were shaking hands and patting each other on the back, looking forward to doing it all over again in 7 days.

What's going on here? Why would anyone in their right mind decide to get out on a pitch and play for an hour and a half from 9.00-10.30pm in a consistent downpour and love it, just love it?

Of course, I gave the answer in the last sentence -- because of love, of loving it!

We could just have easily abandoned the whole game and settled in to watch the television, read a book, surf the Internet or simply do anything BUT going out and playing our hearts out.

Quite simply, when we do something out of love, out of pure joy and passion, nothing else can get in the way of it.

We're all like that about something or another.

However, when it comes to getting the body into motion, into activity and momentum, there's nothing quite like intense physical activity to shake loose the mental cobwebs.

I know people who have been stuck in their thinking or their projects and have either gone for long walks, a run, an intense bike ride or some other form of physical activity, so to rev up their sluggishness.

And when the activity is something you actually love to do, you'll experience all kinds of shifts - energy, mental & physical shifts.

Go get physical. You won't believe the zest and energy it'll give you.

Don't Be Hard on Yourself if You're Not Getting The Results You Want...

"Aaaargh... I'm not reaching the goals I thought I wanted to... there's got to be something wrong with me!"

In one way or another, I hear the above statement... a lot.

The number of people who have probably sentenced themselves to a life of everlasting chaos and turmoil because of feeling that something's WRONG with me, is pretty frightening.

However, if you, or anyone you know find themselves in this particular situation, there's a simple ANTIDOTE - and that is to realise that you're simply NOT COMMITED enough!

And I know that some reading this may find that it's some sort of personal defect, that they're travelling backwards by thinking and admitting that NOT COMMITED.

Let me tell you that it's NOT A DEFECT. You're not travelling backwards.

What this is all about is the fact is that you're... TELLING THE TRUTH!

Wouldn't it be great to know that if you're not passionate and commited about something, that you then have no false hopes about what you say you want?

Wouldn't it be insightful to know that if you wanted to grow and market your business to higher levels, but you're NOT actually growing it, that it's because you're not commited to doing so. You don't REALLY want to do it.

If you're totally frustrated and yanking your hair out because you're not achieving the health and physique you want, just simply own the fact that you really don't want to have the physique and health do you want... YET!

Once you get clear on that. Once you're really comfortable with the idea that you're not really commited yet with what you want, then you now have the opportunity to OPEN THE DOORS OF YOUR MIND and CREATE the commitment you want to get the outcomes you want... in ANY area of life you desire.

There's a freedom and freshness, a zest to life when we acknowledge, admit and dig deep to know we're not living with COMMITED INTEREST...and then, guess what... we can really achieve whatever we want... ONCE WE CHOOSE TO DO SO!

Get COMMITED FIRST - then, make things happen!
